Terms of use
Last updated November 3, 2026
These terms cover the Ankio app and this website. By using Ankio, you agree to them. If you got Ankio from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps also applies.
The beta
Ankio is in beta. Features may change, break or go away, and test builds expire. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose, for example by exporting your decks.
Your account
You can use Ankio without an account. If you make one, keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us at ankioapp@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time: see Delete your Ankio account.
Your cards
The cards you write or import are yours. If you sync them or use card generation, you allow us to store and process them only to run those features for you. Import only decks you have the right to use.
Cards that come with the app are for your own study. Don’t resell or republish them.
Generated cards
Cards made from your text can contain mistakes. Check them before you rely on them.
Fair use
Don’t use Ankio to break the law, to attack or overload our servers, or to get around the limits on card generation. We may suspend an account that does.
No guarantee
Ankio helps you study. It can’t promise how an interview goes. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided as it is, without warranties, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses or lost data. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top. If you keep using Ankio after that, the new terms apply.
