Delete your Ankio account

Delete it in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.

In the app

1. On Today, tap the settings button in the top-right corner.
2. Tap Sync and account.
3. Tap Delete account, read what will be deleted, and confirm. If you signed up with email, enter your password.

The account is deleted as soon as you confirm, and the app signs you out.

Without the app

Email ankioapp@gmail.com from your account’s address and ask us to delete the account. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it’s done.

What is deleted

• Your account: your email address, name and user ID.
• The synced copy of your cards and decks, the images in them, your study history and settings.
• The text you sent to make cards, and the cards made from it.
• Your signed-in devices and sessions.

What stays

• The cards on your phone stay there unless you also tick Also erase the cards on this phone. Removing the app removes them too.
• Analytics and crash reports held by our analytics provider aren’t deleted with the account. Analytics data expires after up to 14 months, and crash reports after up to 90 days.
• Server logs expire after 30 days.
