A Kafka answer marked in Ankio: two of four points covered and underlined, and two missed points listed in red, each with Make a card.

Your answer, marked point by point

The points you covered are underlined. The ones you missed are listed under your answer, and Make a card turns any of them into a new card.

One card, step by step

The screens show a card from an imported Kafka deck.

  1. Read the question

Think about what you would say in the interview.

A question card about Kafka message ordering.
  2. Type your answer

    Then tap Mark my answer.

The same card with a typed answer and the Mark my answer button.
  3. Check the full answer and rate it

One rating is suggested, with the day the card comes back.

The card's full answer with a suggested Hard rating and the day the card comes back.

Plan around the interview day

Add the date and the rounds of that day, such as system design and coding. The Today screen shows how much of each round you would still know that morning.

Each card you study in those decks comes up for review again before the interview.

Today: 44 cards due, and an interview in 10 days with four rounds and the recall expected for each on the day.

See what you’re forgetting

Progress shows how many cards you could answer today, and how each deck or interview round stands against your memory goal.

Progress: the cards you could answer today and each deck against a 90 percent goal.

Six interview decks, 270 cards

They come with the app, 45 cards in each. Every card lists the points an interviewer listens for.

Bring your Anki decks

Import the deck file you exported from Anki, or cards from a spreadsheet or a text file. On any card, write the points to cover, one per line.
